What does "old fashioned" mean here?

It means jerky the way it wasmade before jerky had a marketingdepartment —meat, salt, seasoning, and smoke, withno sweet glaze or heavy sauce. If youwant the pure bison flavor, this is thebag.

Is this a soft jerky or the classic chewy kind?

It leans traditional— a satisfying chew with real texture,not the shredded-softstyle. Lean bison dries beautifully, soit's sturdy without being shoe leather.

How long does a bag last?

Unopened, it keeps for months in the pantry. Once opened, reseal it and it'll hold quality for about a week at room temperature — longer in the fridge. In our experience the bag rarely survives that long anyway.

Is bison jerky healthier than beef jerky?

Bison starts leaner than beef, so the jerky ends up remarkably protein-dense with very little fat. Combine that with a short ingredient list and it's one of the cleanest high-protein snacks you can carry.
